Security of Supply and Gas Storage

Security of supply was idenitifed by the Regulatory Authorities as one of the primary areas where harmonisation between Ireland and Northern Ireland is possible and where significant benefits could be attatined.Currently each jurisdiction has regard only for its own system security when it comes to planning and developing the systems .The security of supply and gas storage work stream focuses on agreeing and developing a common security of supply standard on the island of Ireland.It will also examine issues relating to strategic and commercial storage of natural gas on an all-island basis.
