Retail Markets

This workstream will examine the potential for retail market harmonisation on the island of Ireland via design, development and implementation of single retail processes and systems. At a high level, this will involve the consideration of harmonised change of shipper, metering and data collection processes. Currently both Ireland and Northern Ireland have fully liberalised supply markets but there are some differences in how they operate. Retail market alignment would result in operating efficiencies which would facilitate the development of competition for existing and potential market players in both jurisdictions.
