Modification Notices for Supply Licences

On the 24th October, the Regulatory Authorities published the Modification notices for Northern Ireland supply licences. These modifications have been made by NIAUR, pursuant to powers under Article 3 of the Electricity (Single Wholesale Market)(Northern Ireland) Order 2007 and Regulation 60 of the Electricity Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007, and were made on 22nd October 2007. The modifications have also received the consent of DETI. (Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment).

Post Go-Active Licence Modifications

Consultation October 4th

On October 4th 2007 the Regulatory Authorities published a consultation proposing a further modification to the supply licence to apply to NIE Energy at Go-Live to enable the economic purchase obligation to be directed to take effect at Go-Live. Comments are requested by October 25th.

Consultation September 7th

On the 7th September, the Regulatory Authorities published a consultation paper proposing a number of modifications to the NI supply licences to apply at Go-Live.

Comments on this consultation should be sent, preferably in electronic form,  to Michael Campbell (michael.campbell@niaur.gov.uk) by the 28th September.

Consultation on NIE Licensing Scheme and on changes to Terms of Revocation for all Northern Ireland Supply Licences

On the 4th September 2007, the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation (NIAUR) published a consultation paper on NIE Licensing Scheme and on changes to Terms of Revocation for all NI Supply Licences. It covers two main areas. The first is the proposed text of the Licensing Scheme to apply to NIE's PES licence and the second is the proposed change to all Northern Ireland supply licences to the terms of revocation of licence. In particular, NIAUR intends to reduce the period of notification in certain specified circumstances.
