Decision Paper

Following receipt of responses to the consultation paper on the Best New Entrant Price for 2013, the SEM Committee has completed its calculation of the Best New Entrant Price, Capacity Requirement and Annual Capacity Payments sum for 2013 as set out in this decision paper.

Consultation Paper

On the 4th May 2012 the Regulatory Authorities (RAs) published a consultation paper on the 'Fixed Cost of a Best New Entrant Peaking Plant, Capacity Requirement and Annual Capacity Payment Sum for the Calendar Year 2013'.

Within this consultation paper the Figures for the Annual Capacity Payment Sum, the Best New Entrant Peaking Price and the Capacity Requirement for 2013 were determined, using similar methodology as has been employed in previous years. This paper also summarised the main input used and have the data sheets used in the calculation as a series of appendices.

Views are invited regarding any and all aspects of the proposals put forward in this Consultation Paper, and should be addressed (preferably via email) to Kenny Dane (kenny.dane@uregni.gov.uk) by 5.00 p.m on the 12th June 2012.
