Preliminary Cost Benefit Analysis

Preliminary Cost Benefit Analysis

As part of the Common Arangements for Gas (CAG) project the Utility Regulator and the Commission for Energy Regulation are today (30th July 2008) publishing a preliminary Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) on the CAG.  The CBA provides a high-level analysis of the estimated costs and benefits of implementing common arrangements between the gas networks in Ireland and Northern Ireland.  This analysis is based on information provided to the regulatory authorities during initial discussions regarding the establishment of the project.  The CBA will be refined once the scope of the project is more clearly defined.
